About Us

Welcome to West Valley Beef! Located in idyllic Skamokawa, Washington, West Valley Beef has been operated by the Bosch Family since 1997. They have raised everything from chickens to lambs to pumpkins, but they have always been known for their fabulous grass fed beef.

Tom Bosch runs his heard of Angus cattle on 200 acres of vibrant green pastures, and in the winter feeds them on hay made in the same fields. No pesticides or herbicides are used in the grazing pastures. Instead, Tom sends his grandson Wayne out to knock down thistles with a stick, or hops on the tractor to mow down the tussock grass that thrives in the damp valleys.

The perennial Skamokawa rains keep the valleys green year-round, keeping the cows well fed and providing the rich, distinctive flavor of West Valley’s grass-fed beef. Studies have shown grass-fed beef to be healthier with less total fat. More heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. More conjugated linoleic acid, a type of fat that’s thought to reduce heart disease and cancer risks.
